Is People Unlimited Inc. a Cult?

People who have first hand experience know that People Unlimited is an organization that supports radical life extension and physical immortality with an on-going program of insight, inspiration and encouragement. But possibly because of its unorthodox stand about the unlimited potential of the human body to live and thrive, a few have put a negative spin on People Unlimited, even to the point of calling it a cult.

This article will help speak to this accusation in a fair and balanced way to clear up any confusion about the People Unlimited. When a group is called a cult, it can be difficult to respond reasonably, because there’s no clear definition of what a cult actually is. The term cult is often used as a label to scare people away from small groups doing different things. Very large groups are almost never labeled a cult, even though it can easily be argued that they fit the profile. This is usually because their perspective is considered more “normal”.

If you think change and innovation is a bad thing, then you may want to steer clear of People Unlimited. People Unlimited promotes the concept to people that they are totally in charge of their lives, and totally unlimited in their potential, including the ability to live forever.This is not a particularly cult-like message in that it actually encourages every person to be a leader of their life, rather than a follower.

3.      Not everyone agrees on everything – People Unlimited attracts diverse people with a wide range of viewpoints on everything from diet and exercise to favourite movies, and whether or not coffee is good for you. What they do tend to agree on is that physical immortality makes sense.

4.      Service in the community – People Unlimited is not an isolated organization. It is involved in the Phoenix community, including volunteering at and supporting Tumble weed Youth Center for homeless teenagers and other great causes.

5.      Originality is encouraged -- Members tend to very openly articulate their uniqueness in every way from personal expression to artistic performance.People are encouraged to dress well in a manner that suits their personal tastes, without regard to conforming to some group norm.

People Unlimited New Year’s Launch a Massive Success

Each year, People Unlimited hosts a weeklong winter event known as the New Year’s Launch in. The event, which ran from December 25th through December 31st  in Scottsdale, Arizona, focused on a deep exploration of radical life extension and physical immortality in our daily lives. People Unlimited directors, James Strole and Bernadeane, were featured speakers who delivered a series of passionate and profound expressions about the absolute value of human life. As always, members shared their personal expansions an array of areas, including personal health, prosperity and relationships. The event also featured live video presentations by gerontologist Aubrey De Grey, professor of clinical medicine Michael Fossil and David Kekich, founder of the Maximum Life Foundation. New Year’s Launch was a deeply enriching event, made even more special by having out of town members, who normally connect with us only via live streaming, present live and in person. It’s fair to say that an expansive time was had by all.

People Unlimited to Host Exclusive Screening of The Immortalists

January 8th at Harkins 101 Cinema, Scottsdale, AZ


In its continuing commitment to promote radical life extension and physical immortality, People Unlimited is hosting an exclusive screening of the new documentary The Immortalists. This will be held on January 8th at 7:30 pm at the Harkins 101 Cinema in Scottsdale. 

The Immortalists focuses on the leading edge science being conducted by two of the most advanced researchers on anti-aging and radical life extension, Bill Andrews and Aubrey De Grey. Both of these world-renowned scientists have spoken at People Unlimited.

This special screening will be attended by Bill Andrews, who will be taking questions after the showing. Andrews will provide a more in –depth presentation on his anti-aging work the following evening at People Unlimited.
